Welcome to Skip Hire Knightsbridge. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our skip hire services. By hiring a skip from us, you agree to comply with these terms. Please read them carefully to understand your rights and obligations.
1. Definitions
- Client: The individual or entity hiring the skip.
- Company: Skip Hire Knightsbridge, the service provider.
- Skip: The container provided for waste disposal.
- Agreement: The contract between the Client and the Company.
2. Booking and Reservation
To hire a skip, Clients must submit a booking request through our platform or by contacting our service team. All bookings are subject to availability. Once a booking is confirmed, the Client will receive a confirmation email detailing the order specifics.
2.1. Booking Confirmation
A confirmation email serves as a receipt of the booking and includes important information such as the skip size, delivery date, and location.
3. Payment Terms
Payment is required in full before the skip is delivered. We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards and bank transfers. If payment is not received by the due date, the Company reserves the right to cancel the booking.
3.1. Pricing
Our pricing is competitive and varies based on skip size, rental duration, and location. Any additional services requested may incur extra charges.
4. Cancellation Policy
Clients may cancel their booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery without incurring any fees. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before delivery may be subject to a cancellation fee.
4.1. Refunds
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of cancellation, provided the cancellation policy is adhered to.
5. Use of Skip
The skip must be used solely for the purpose of waste disposal. Clients are responsible for ensuring that the contents placed in the skip are permissible under local regulations.
5.1. Prohibited Items
- Hazardous materials such as asbestos, chemicals, and batteries.
- Electrical appliances that are not safe to transport.
- Plants or any living organisms.
6. Liability
The Company is not liable for any damage to the Client’s property unless caused by the Company's negligence. Clients are responsible for any damage to the skip resulting from misuse or overloading.
6.1. Insurance
Clients are advised to obtain appropriate insurance to cover any potential damages or losses while using the skip.
7. Delivery and Collection
Skip delivery and collection are scheduled based on the confirmed booking. Clients must ensure that there is adequate access to the delivery location. The skip must be placed on stable, level ground to prevent movement during use.
7.1. Delays
The Company is not responsible for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather or traffic conditions.
8. Responsibilities of the Client
- Ensure accurate information is provided during booking.
- Maintain the skip in good condition.
- Adhere to local waste disposal regulations.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Skip Hire Knightsbridge operates. Any disputes arising out of these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.
10. Amendments
The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, so that these Terms and Conditions will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
12. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company regarding the use of the skip hire services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
